• Completion of a craft apprenticeship or machining course • An equivalent combination of years of education and production maintenance experience.

Core Duties & Daily Responsibilities:
Under the general direction of the maintenance supervisor, the Machine Maintenance associate is responsible for assisting the machine shop lead and all machinists as required, in the most economic, efficient, and effective way possible. The Machine Maintenance associate will be responsible for the maintenance and production of parts for machines throughout our NY facility. • Stage and organize tooling and equipment in support of machining schedule • Set up, adjust, and operate all of the basic machine tools and many specialized or advanced variation tools in order to perform precision machining operations • Dismantles machines or equipment, using hand tools and power tools, in order to examine parts for defects and replace defective parts where needed. • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and complying with all OSHA standards. • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service. • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. • Maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures. • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities. • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties. • Designs fixtures, tooling, and experimental parts to meet special engineering needs. • Work overtime as needed. • Other duties as assigned.
